The General Manager of Ibadan’s darling club, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Rasheed Balogun has revealed that there is no iota of truth that there is rancor in the fold of the management of the club.
He said that unity exists within the Oluyole Warriors adding that this is one of the reasons that the club has been waxing stronger.
He therefore, described as untrue, rumours in some quarters that all is not well between him and the Team Manager of the club, Dimeji Lawal.
Featuring on a Fresh FM 105.9 Sports programme, Lori Papa, on Thursday, Balogun said those peddling the rumour are just out to cause distractions to the Ibadan soccer lords, who are preparing for the 2021 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
“Whatever you hear from my mouth regarding Shooting Stars, I challenge you to put a call through to Dineji Lawal, you will hear exactly the same thing.
“That is to tell you how cordial my relationship with him as well as every member of staff and even the players of the team is,” stated Balogun, who added that the same relationship exists among the technical crew members.
“Dimeji and myself relate like brothers, you can make further investigations about that and for the coaches, I have worked with many clubs, I have not seen coaches who work together like a family the way Edith Agoye and his assistants do,” he said.
The former Julius Berger Team Manager also denied insinuations that he was behind the sack of the late Ajibade Babalade as the Team Manager of the club, even as he revealed that the club did not owe the former Super Eagles defender any money before his demise.
“There is no iota of truth in the claims that I sacked Ajibade, those who did that know themselves and as far as settling him financially is concerned, I can tell you that we settled him before he died, we were not owing him a dime before he passed on,” he added.
