Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State has elected new legislative officers to run the administration of the council after the recently held Local Government election in the state.

Among the newly elected officials is the Leader of the House, Hon. Adefila Joshua Adebayo of Ipogun/ Ibule ward and the Deputy Leader of the House, Hon. Olakiitan Akinsola of Isarun/Erigi ward.

Speaking at the event, the Leader of the House, Hon. Adefila therefore urged the new elected officials to work in unity and cooperate with the executive leader in order to achieve success in the House and move the Local Government forward.

He, therefore, appealed to those who lost out in the election to sheathe their swords and join hands with him to work together.

Similarly, the Local Government Chairman, Honorable Engr. Alex Oladimeji, acknowledged that the process that produced the officials was free and fair.

According to the local government Chairman when asked to comment on the scenario that played out during the legislative proceedings, he  said “I did not see any rowdiness, what I saw was that the hall could not accommodate people to sit in and people were trying to adjust themselves. The process went very well and everything was done under the camera.

“The people of Ifedore Local Government should expect more development. Even, the newly appointed Local Government Secretary has been sworn in. This means the circle of governance is now complete in the LGA”.
