Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye is delighted to be linked with a move to Dutch giants, Ajax.
The former Fortuna Düsseldorf II goal tender however insists no contact has been made with the former European champions.
Okoye linked up with Sparta Rotterdam last summer after severing ties with German club Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The 21-year-old put up fine performance as the club recorded a 2-0 home win against RKC Waalwijk last weekend.
He has appeared in 20 league games for Sparta and has kept seven clean sheets.
”I haven’t heard anything yet, it’s mainly a rumour now,” Okoye declared.
“It is nice to read that Ajax is interested. That means that I am performing well at Sparta. My focus is now on Sparta. At the moment nothing is playing yet. We will see what will happens.”
