The Management of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti has warned members of the public to beware of fake admission list being circulated by fraudulent people on various social media platforms.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Abayomi Fasina described the list bring peddled around as fake and illegal.

The purported admission letters were alleged to have been offered by FUOYE via online platforms on the portal of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), to candidates who scored between 180 and 200 in UTME.

But in a swift reaction to the development, Mr. Wole Balogun, the Special Adviser on Media to the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, stated that the only admission list officially released by FUOYE Management are those on the Merit list.

Balogun maintained that as at the 15th of March, 2021, there has not been any other admission list officially released by FUOYE Management except the approved list on Merit.

The Vice Chancellor through his media aide urged the members of the public not to fall victim to any Admission fraud, and that any list in circulation via any online platform being circulated as supplementary admission list from FUOYE is fake, and that such did not emanate from the institution and should be regarded as scam.

The statement further reiterated that FUOYE Management is already compiling its supplementary admission list and shall, in due time, release same to the public.
