A call has gone out to All financial and registered club under Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) to vote for Chief Waheed Ekun as President General in the coming election of the group slated for 2nd of April, 2021 at Ibadan House.
This call was made recently by Ibadan Youth Progressive Indigene Association.
In his words of advice, the spokesperson of the association, Aare Alao Olalekan said there is need to put a correct round peg in a round hole towards the rapid development of Ibadanland.
“Waheed Ekun is a member of OAU Alumnus and a grassroot-man with listening ears, he was Former Secretary General of CCII and his level of exposure across some international communities is something to talk about, his wealth of experience in both health, education and social and recreation affiliation is also commendable.”
Meanwhile, Waheed Ekun, who is also Chairman, National Association of Sports Professional, Oyo State Chapter has assured that he is ready to transform CCII and make grow its membership viably.
In a chat with PMParrot, the sports loving Ibadanman said “I am presenting myself for election as President of CCII because of the love I have for our darling city. I am desirous of bringing more successful indigenes into the fold of CCII so that our city can experience more progress.”
