Fraudsters have again hacked the Facebook account of the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare in order to impersonate him and used the account to dupe unsuspecting members of the public.
The hacked Facebook account still displays the picture of the Minister with his bio data.
The Minister’s media office advised members of the public to be wary of the activities of these fraudulent people who are intent on defrauding people.
The statement further advised the public not to respond to anyone using the hacked Facebook account to solicit for funds or ask people to pay for forms for any loans or grants. Rather, the account should be flagged and reported to Facebook.
The Minister has reported the case to the relevant law enforcement agencies who are on the trail of the impostors.
This is the second time that a cloned Facebook account has been deployed to impersonate the Minister.
