The Founder of the Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa has called on Muslims and other religious faithful to imbibe the spirit of love, forgiveness and brotherliness.

In a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists on Wednesday, the All Progressives Congress chieftain said “these qualities will assist us to maintain peaceful coexistence among ourselves irrespective of religion, ethnic and political background”.

While felicitating with Muslims on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan, Giwa, enjoined Nigerians to continue showing love, and live lives of brotherliness which are the tenets of Islam encapsulated in the holy Quran and demonstrated by Prophet Muhammed (SAW).

“I congratulate all Muslims in Nigeria, Oyo State and Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency for the success of this year’s Ramadan which Almighty Allah counted us among the living witnesses. I pray almighty God accepts it as an act of Ibadah.

“I want to use the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr to appeal to all Nigerians irrespective of religion, ethnic and political background to show love and forgive one another, and as well continue to live a life of brotherliness. This is what will bring peace, and foster unity among ourselves.

“These are the lessons the holy month of Ramadan teaches, these are the tenets contained in the holy Quran and these are the cultures demonstrated by the holy Prophet Muhammed (SAW),” Giwa said.

The HOG Foundation founder also called on both Islamic and Christian clerics to continue to pray for the country and leaders to be able overcome the challenges of increasing cases of kidnapping, banditry and terrorism in the country.
