Nigeria international and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has dedicated his team’s FA Cup win to his daughter who clocked one on Friday.
The Foxes defeated Chelsea 1-0 at London’s Wembley Stadium following Youri Tielemans’ wonder goal.
An 89th-minute equaliser from Chelsea was nullified by VAR after Ben Chilwell was deemed offside by the smallest of margins in the build-up.
The win was Leicester’s first in its 137-year history and their second major title after a sensational Premier League success in 2016.
In a post on social media after the match, Ndidi dedicated the victory to his daughter and expressed joy at seeing fans return.
“Perfect birthday gift for my daughter. What a feeling having to see the fans again. Thank you everyone,” he wrote.
