Two Years In Office: Makinde’s Pace Setting Governance Style Is Enviable -Alawode, Ibadan South East LG Boss

The newly sworn-in Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode has said that the people of the state will witness unparalleled infrastructural development in the next two years of Governor Seyi Makinde’s led government.

He also added that the governance style of the governor is enviable and should be emulated by his colleagues who aspire to give their people the very best.

Hon. Alawode, also assured that what the people are witnessing now are just tip of the iceberg, adding that more dividends of democracy and massive developmental moves are still coming their way.

The South East LG boss, in his congratulatory message to the governor on the occasion of his second year anniversary in office, expressed confidence in the ability of Governor Seyi Makinde to take the state out of poverty to prosperity.

Citing remarkable infrastructural development through quality road projects and operation light up Oyo State to improved health care system that the state has enjoyed in the last two years, Alawode said the governor deserves accolade.

He noted that Governor Makinde has invested so much in the security sector of the state to ensure peace and security of lives and property. Alawode lauded the several people-oriented programmes of the people’s governor especially in education and agriculture to expand the state’s economy and create more employment opportunities.

“Look at what happened last year when all the states in Nigeria locked down their economies, our Boss used what I will call ‘native intelligence’ and allowed our citizens to go to the markets and other work places. I will say here that Governor Makinde knows his people and his people love him for this.”

While soliciting for more cooperation, prayers and support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s government, he assured that the next two years will usher in more peace and development.

Alawode prayed for the governor, the Deputy Governor and entire members of his cabinet for more wisdom and knowledge as they continue in the journey of moving the state to prosperity level.
