Turkish Super Lig giants, Besiktas are closing in on Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem.
According to reports, both Besiktas and Boavista had fruitful conversations and the transfer could be completed in the next few days.
Turkish news handle, Milliyet revealed that Besiktas have identified the versatile defender as an ideal replacement for Francisco Montero who returned to Atletico Madrid.
Milliyet revealed that Awaziem has agreed to join the Turkish champions, but both clubs need to reach a financial agreement.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a productive spell with Boavista last season, leading the team away from relegation in the Portuguese league.Awaziem is also a constant name on the list of Super Eagles under Gernot Rohr.
