Day Physically Challenged Persons Commended Ibadan North LG Boss

Physically challenged persons who were recently evacuated to the newly equipped Akinyele Resettlement Centre in Ibadan, Oyo state have applauded the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo for giving them a sense of belonging and for putting a smile on their faces during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The Council boss was accompanied by the twelve local government ward councilors, party chieftains and loyalist in the local government area during the visit to celebrate with the less privileged people at the resettlement Centre recently.

The Council Chairman, however, reiterated the decision of the Engr. Seyi Makinde led-administration in the state to always keep to its electoral promises at all times and in providing laudable leadership.

The Physically challenged persons who were full of joy and ecstasy during the visit commended the Chairman for keeping to his words and promises while urging him not to relent in his humanitarian efforts.

Speaking, a youth leader among the physically challenged persons, Abubakar Usman commended the Engr. Seyi Makinde led-government and the Chairman of Ibadan North for their leadership gestures towards providing a habitable edifice for them to live in and for prioritizing their welfare and security.

He stated that the government did more than what was expected from them considering the massive infrastructural development in the camp while assuring the state government of their total cooperation.

He, however, urged the state government to collaborate with Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that they are captured in the ongoing INEC registration so that they will not be disfranchised in the 2023 general election in the country.

He further urged the state government to beef up security around the resettlement area so that hoodlums and unscrupulous element will not take advantage of the place to perpetuate crimes.
