Ibadan Book Club in conjunction with IHRAF Book Club will host a creative writing Workshop for writers, editors, publishers and bloggers in Ibadan on Saturday, July 31, 2021.
The objectives of the workshop include:Â honing, enhancing and improving the skills/capacity of up and coming writers, editors, publishers and bloggers, among others. It hopes to help intending participants deepen their understanding of writing and develop distinctive writing voices, it will also enable intending participants to explore the types of writing in which they are particularly interested.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Coordinator of the Club, Ayobami Odunyemi in Ibadan on Monday.
According to the release, the workshop is part of the club’s strategies to enhance the capacity of writers, editors, publishers and bloggers.
Expected to deliver lectures are: Dr. Bartholomew Akpah, Mr. Jide Ogunlana, Mr. Murthada Lawal, Mr. Sulaiman Idris Bankole, Mr. Folarin Olaniyi and Miss Phebean Folarin.
The forthcoming workshop is strictly for up and coming writers new to writing who are unsure where to begin, Individuals who want a refresher on the key elements of writing (poetry, Prose and Drama), writers who want to learn more about character development, publishing, editing, scriptwriting, graphics design, illustration, electronic publishing, ghost writing etc.
Ibadan Creative writing workshop is an avenue to provide an opportunity for writers to develop and refine their writing skills.
