The Oyo State Police Command has denied involvement in the killing of a fresh graduate of the Polytechnic, Ibadan, Akinola Babatunde at the Palms Shopping Complex, Ring Road, in the capital city of the state.
A report making the rounds made it known that the deceased was shot while a police officer was trying to arrest him on Sunday.
When contacted by PMParrot for confirmation, the spokesperson for the Oyo State Police Command, Mr Adewale Osifeso said it was a case of ‘cult related violence’.
He continued “Comprehensive investigations are ongoing to apprehend all the culprits involved. Updates would be provided in due course, please.”
