Nigerite Limited has donated €2500 to the Kanu Heart Foundation to aid its heart surgery sponsorship efforts.

Manager, Human Resources at Nigerite, Femi Akinbode, made the presentation of the cheque to the foundation in Lagos as part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities.

He said the donation was made possible from a wellbeing competition organised by Etex, Nigerite’s parent company for all its employees.

The Kanu Heart Foundation was chosen to receive the prize money from the competition after a winner emerged.

Kanu Nwankwo, the founder of KHF, was represented by the Managing Director, Mr Onyebuchi Abia, who said that the foundation had sponsored 595 open heart surgeries to date of which most were done in Israel, India, Sudan, London and locally in Nigeria.
