Trabzonspor captain Anthony Nwakaeme grabbed a goal in his side’s 2-1 win over Sivasspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday to continue his impressive start to the 2021/22 league season.
It’s his second goal of the season in two league appearances for the club.
Nwakaeme opened his goal account for the club last week in their 5-1 thrashing of Yeni Malatyaspor, before putting his side 2-0 up in the 47th minute on Monday, after Anastasios Bakasetas had scored the opener for the hosts in the 15th minute from the penalty spot.
Isaac Cofie’s goal in the 70th minute proved to be a consultation for the visitors as the hosts held on for their second win of the season.
Nwakaeme, who was shown a yellow card in the 72nd minute made way for Andreas Cornelius three minutes later.
Nigerian midfielder, Azubuike Okechukwu, clocked 54 minutes in the loss. He received a yellow card in the 13th minute and came off for the team’s eventual goal scorer Cofie in the 54th minute.
