The Chief of Staff to the Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Honourable Biodun Omoleye has charged residents of Ijurin Ekiti community to continue to live in peace and harmony in order to attract more infrastructural developments to the community.

He gave the charge at Ijurin Ekiti during the weekend when he hosted dignitaries during the celebration of Ijurin day festival.

 Omoleye said, “Ijurin day is a very special celebration to everybody because it is a day of accountability when indigenes of the town gather together to commit themselves to the development of the town”.

Speaking on the preparation of Ijurin Ekiti towards the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST), he described Ijurin Ekiti as a town blessed and enriched in culture with unique dance patterns while expressing the readiness of the community to display its rich cultural heritage to the world.

He, however, expressed the readiness of the community to construct a befitting palace and a civic centre for the town.

Present at the occasion were the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, former Head of Service, Ekiti State, Honourable Deji Ajayi and top government functionaries.
