Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, National Vice Chairman, South West for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has charged party faithful that winning and losing are all outcomes in any democratic setting.

However, there is the need for aspirants for political office to approach the process knowing that peace and unity are sacrosanct.

Arapaja made the charge ahead of the PDP ward congresses slated for Saturday, September 25.

The PDP national vice-chairman urged the party faithful to approach all political aspirations with love, peace and unity.

Arapaja, in a press statement issued by his special assistant on media and publicity, Bamitale Ibrahim, to newsmen in Ibadan said, “Losing and winning are the only outcomes in a democratic setting; and PDP, being the most democratic party which always gives level playing ground for all members, will once again go by its core values.

“I implore all members of our party to be law-abiding and work in the most democratic way which no doubt has become our trademark since 1999.

“I want to also use this singular opportunity to encourage everyone to avoid any form of vices that can cause mayhem in the party and country at large.”

He further added that “The ward is the root of everyone in politics; I would love us all to do our best to sustain the good legacy of the party.”

Arapaja wished all members of the party a hitch-free congress across the zones and throughout the country.
