All is now set for the Dr Kayode Fayemi-led government to play host to the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, some Governors and other notable personalities during the third anniversary of the administration’s second term.
This arrangement was unveiled by the Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Mr. Akinbowale Omole in the state during the week.
He said the government will use the opportunity to Commission several projects that have already been completed by Fayemi’s administration.
According to Omole, “Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been invited to personally commission one of the legacy projects which is the Civic Centre in Ado Ekiti for the use of Ekiti people on the 14th of October, 2021”.
Omole also revealed that the Civic Centre due for Commissioning is located at the popular Fajuyi in Ado Ekiti and has been designed to house a museum, art gallery, shopping mall, cinema, public library, conference/event centre, office space accommodation among other purposes.
“The resuscitated Ikun Dairy farm located at Ikun Ekiti and run in partnership with the Promasidor Group is also slated for Commissioning.
“In addition, the Deji Fasuan Model College, built and named after the Chairman of the Committee for the Creation of Ekiti State, Chief Oladeji Fasuan, who turned 90 years old on October 1, 2021 will be the first project to be commissioned. The Commissioning slated for Friday will kickstart along with other projects to be commissioned till the end of October, 2021”.
Giving the other highlights for the Three Years Anniversary Celebrations of the Governor of Ekiti State, Omole said “an ‘Oni Uyi’ Award Ceremony has been packaged to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the creation of Ekiti State in honouring some deserving statesmen and women in the State”.
