USL team Austin Bold FC, where Promise Isaac last played before he died, will honour him on Wednesday when they host Tacoma Defiance, reports scorenigeria.com.
The players will wear jersey number 11 which was last worn by Promise and observe a minute silent in his honor before the kick-off. It’s two years that the former Nigeria international died and the Texas Capital City based club is not forgotten their fallen hero.
He was capped by Nigeria at U17, U20, U23 and Super Eagles levels. In a statement by the club announced: “Today we remember Promise Isaac.
“On Wednesday, Bold will be wearing number 11 on their jersey as well as holding a minute silence for before the National Anthem.
“Promise will forever be in our hearts and always be a member of the Bold family.”
