The government of Dr Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti State has concluded all plans towards the successful hosting of the forthcoming National Festival of Arts and Culture, NAFEST.

“We are almost through with all arrangements concerning accommodation to cope with NAFEST capacity”.

“The Ministry will in the next few days be meeting with leadership of Traders’ Associations to negotiate on the need to sell goods at reasonable cost, rather than inflating prices during the period”.

The Commissioner explained that Ekiti state government decided to host the national event in order to attract global attention to various tourists’ centres in the state.

“The vision of the government to host the NAFEST 2021 is to set a new template for the future hosting of the festival by any state, it is also to compete and win all available prizes and laurels”.

Professor Ojo-Bakare who commended Governor Kayode Fayemi for his support, sought the cooperation of stakeholders for the festival to be successful.

Over four thousand participants are expected at the national festival which will take place between November thirteen and twentieth.

Speaking on security, a member of the committee, Gen. Ebenezer Ogundana submitted that necessary modalities have been put in place to ensure protection of lives and property in the course of the festival and beyond.
