The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has congratulated Maj. Gen. Abdullahi Muraina (Rtd) after becoming the new President and Chairman of Council – designate of the foremost Management professional body in Nigeria, – Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).

The royal father noted with assurance and sense of duty that Muraina, as a professional soldier will apparently live up to expectations of the body as one of the numerous competent and shrewd professional indigenes from Ibadanland.

Oba Adetunji, who is also the current Chairman, Oyo State Council of Oba and Chiefs expressed deep appreciation to the Institute’s Council, leadership and the entire members for believing in Muraina’s leadership skills and managerial ability to steer the ship of the premier professional body in the country to greater heights.

The first-class monarch charged Muraina to make good use of his previous trainings in human and material resources management to change the narratives of leadership at the Institute for better. He said part of the qualities seen in him that increased his net worth before the members and propelled him to have their mandate includes purposeful leadership, strategic thinking, focus and commitment to achieving success at all times.

The Olubadan said that all these summed up together and convinced members to freely give him the mandate to lead them. He advised him to be guided during his tenure as President by management ethics, Institute’s rules of engagement as contained in its enabling Act, Code of Conduct and Core values.

Oba Adetunji, on behalf of Olubadan-in-Council, then went ahead to wish Muraina resounding success.
