Ekiti Based Philanthropist Donates Cash To Indigent Student

A philanthropist, Chief Olatunde Ashaolu who also doubles as the Gbobaniyi of Efon Kingdom, has donated the sum of over four million naira to brilliant and indigent students of Efon Alaaye kingdom.

Speaking at the event, the former Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Professor Dipo Kolawole urged the youths of the community to take the advantage of education to better their lives and desist from all forms of truancy capable of destroying their future.

He, however, counselled parents to ensure proper training of their children in all spheres of human endeavour.

The University professor further commended the donor for his role in the development and advancement of Efon community while urging the beneficiaries not to relent in their efforts in achieving good success in their future endeavors.

Among the beneficiaries included Ojo Victoria Omotola from the Federal Government Girls College, Efon Alaaye,  Fajuyi Esther Ibukunoluwa of C.A.C. Grammar School and Ajayi Wuraola Deborah of the Ekiti State Government College

Others included Adedayo Adedeji Matthew from the Ekiti State University and Bamilosin Kehinde Olabode of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife who were given a sum of N500, 000, and a laptop computer respectively.

The winner in the secondary category was awarded with a sum of N250, 000, a laptop computer, while the second runner up was awarded with a medal and a sum of N200,000 with a laptop computer and the third awardee given a sum of N175,000 among other benefits.
