All is now for the Local Government (LGA) and Local Community Development Authority (LCDA) Elections scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2021 at all the designated polling units already mapped out in Ekiti State.

Speaking with PMParrot on Friday at the Stakeholders’ Meeting held at the Adetiloye Hall of the Trade Fair Complex on Iyin Ekiti road in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman of the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC), Justice Babajide Aladejana re-affirmed the readiness of the Commission to conduct the LG and LCDA Elections throughout the State.

Justice Babajide Aladejana assured residents, electorates and stakeholders on the election that all the arrangements and preparations to make the exercise a successful one has already been put in place.

According to the Commission’s helmsman, “today, those who have been working with the Commission to ensure things are properly organised are the reason why the stakeholders meeting was conveyed. The stakeholders were assembled to assess the situation of things and prepare their minds towards Saturday’s election”, he revealed.

He also told PMParrot that only six out of the 10 political parties domiciled in Ekiti State will be contesting during the election and out of the 18 overall duly registered political parties by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the country.

The Ekiti EKSIEC Boss however advised the people of the State who are eligible to vote to come out en-masse to exercise their franchise during the LGA and LCDA Elections.

Present at the Stakeholders Meeting included the representatives of the Political Parties under the auspice of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in the State.

Others included the representatives of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Directorate of State Security Services (DSS) and that of the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
