Chief Adeniyi Akintola, a frontline gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State has commiserated with the family of late Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Soun of Ogbomosoland, and indigenes of the ancient town of the death of the monarch.

In a message posted on the social media, the legal icon said “It came as a rude shock to me that his majesty the Soun of Ogbomosho has joined his ancestors.

“As an Ibadan man whose ancient origins is traceable to Ogbomosho through Balogun Ibikunle and as a politician whose political base and friendships spread across the land I feel highly saddened by the transition at this point of a forward looking monarch like Oba Jimoh Ajagungbade III.

“I pray that almighty God accept his return and Grant him Aljhanna Firdaus”.
