Genk’s Director of football, Dimitri de Condé recently ripped into Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Paul Onuachu and his teammates, following their elimination from the Europa League.
Genk’s European adventure came to an an after losing 1-0 at home to against Rapid Wien on Thursday evening.
The Limburgers have now been dump out of Belgian Cup and Europa League in less than a week.
Speaking on the recent struggle, Condé stated that, Onuachu and some players are only thinking about transfer and has now call on them focus on the Jupiler Pro League.
“The players must follow the trainer”, was the message from De Condé.
“Guys who play for Genk should also play for the club and the logo. And not just for a transfer. I think that many players have had transfer problems in the head, and not just with Onuachu.” He said.
Meanwhile, the club has appointed Bernd Storck as their new coach until the end of the season. The German replaced John Van Broom.
