Leicester City are the latest English Premier League club to be linked with a move for Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo.

The Foxes already have two Nigerian internationals at the King Power Stadium, but the number could increase to three when the transfer window opens in January.

According to Leicester Mercury, The Foxes are considering bringing in the Glasgow Rangers midfielder when the January transfer window opens next month.

Leicester already have Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho in their squad, and that could give them the edge in the race to sign the Rangers star.

Aribo has been linked with a move away from Rangers following his impressive performances for the Ibrox side this season.

The former Charlton man has taken his game to an exceptional level this year and has been Rangers best player this campaign.

He has scored six goals and registered four assists in 20 league games for The Gers this season, but more importantly, his all-round play has been a delight to watch.

The 25-year-old has been a key figure under Giovanni van Bronkhorst, who replaced Steven Gerrard as Rangers boss.

Gerrard left Rangers to take over Aston Villa, and he has also been linked with a move with a player he brought on a free transfer from Charlton to the Ibrox.

Crystal Palace are another Premier League side that have been credited with an interest.

Aribo’s current contract at the Ibrox runs until 2023.
