All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Ekiti state, Hon. Femi Bamisile has received massive support from Ekiti professionals in the Diaspora ahead of the primary election of his party in the state.
The professionals based in Europe, America and Asia, branded Bamisile as the most experienced and competent to succeed the current governor of the state, Dr Kayode Fayemi .
The Chairman of the group, Mr. Adetokunbo Layokun, stated that the Ekiti indigenes in Diaspora from the three senatorial districts of the state passed a vote of confidence on Bamisile at a meeting held in London recently.
He stated that that the Ekiti southern district where Bamisile hails from has not produced the governor of the state since 1999.
Layokun further insisted that APC and the opposition parties must align with the principle of zoning to ensure stability and cohesion among Ekiti people, warning that the party leaders should not permit selfish interest and sentiment to destroy the fabrics of unity among Ekiti people.
He further described Hon. Bamisile as the most competent among the aspirants vying for the coveted seat on the platform of APC stating that the aspirant was a former member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly where he was elected as the speaker and a serving member, House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on FERMA.
