Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State on Thursday approved the appointment of a former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan as the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
The Governor equally approved the appointment of Mr. Sam Erejuwa as the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (OSOPADEC).
Similarly, Mr. Olajide Akinroluyo has been appointed as the chairman of the Pool Betting and Lotteries Board.
The appointments which was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, said the appointments take immediate effect.
Other newly appointed Members of the Boards include; Princess (Mrs.) Brown-Ademulegun, Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, Mr. Lanre Oyebade, Alh. Abimbola Omolola (State PTA Chairman) and Mrs. Margaret Akinsuroju, who will represent ALGON on the board.
The OSOPADEC board members include, Mrs. M. A. Witherspoon, Mr. Ikoto Agbara Atili, Mrs. Mosun Odukale, Mrs. Abiola John Oladapo and Engr. Stephen Fadaini
Also, pool betting and lotteries board members include, Miss Temitope Iwagun, Mr. Olotu Oluwaseun Alaba, Mr. Charles Fagbohunka and Mr. Akinmusayo J. Ogunmade.
Meanwhile, the governor has approved the appointment of Mr. Rafiu Akinkuolie as member of the Judicial Service Commission. His name has been forwarded to the Ondo State House of Assembly for screening.
The Governor congratulated the new appointees while charging them to justify the confidence reposed in them by performing excellently in their new offices.
