The Monarch of Ifaki Ekiti, Oba Adegbenro John Falore, Ajigbade III has urged for a peaceful resolution following the controversy trailing the establishment of the law school in Ilawe Ekiti.
The Monarch further stated that the ancient town of Ifaki Ekiti deserves the law school for social and economic balance adding that the town is more economically, politically and socially positioned for the institution to be located
He said, “Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi solely fought for the institution to be brought to Ekiti State and that it will only be fair if it is sited in Ifaki, which has a lot to offer even after losing out to Ado Ekiti during State capital decision making.
“It is normal that towns should fight for the institution since we live in a competitive world, but that does not erase the fact that we deserve it more as we are more positioned to clinch it considering the fact that Ifaki Ekiti is located at the centre of the State geographically”.
He further added that letters have been written to the Senate President and that all well meaning sons and daughters of Ekiti will find no fault about the location of the institution in Ifaki Ekiti.
The Ifaki Ekiti Monarch also added that he has confirmed the official location of the law school campus to be Ifaki Ekiti through the website of the National Assembly to fault the media claim of the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Ajibade.
