The National leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has promised to provide a transformational leadership and turn around the country if elected as the President in the 2023 general election.Â
He further described himself as the most qualified candidate to become the President of the country stating that there will be no excuse for failure if voted into power.
The APC chieftain stated this during a consultation-visit to all traditional rulers in the three senatorial districts of Ondo State.
Tinubu further stated that he was running for the presidency because he was seriously bothered about the development of Nigeria while assuring Nigerians that he will make the country to be more developed than Lagos.
Speaking further at Okitipupa, Tinubu said, “Lagos State was the worst state in Africa when I became governor, we generated meager revenue but we did our best then, but looking at Lagos now, it generates over N40 billion annually.
He, however, revealed that religion and ethnic division was part of the problem confronting the country adding that Lagos was thriving because any tribe or religion can contest and win elections in the State.
Speaking, the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyonbo Ogunlade Aladelusi Odundun II, stated that Tinubu would transform the country from the present economic woes while describing him as a maker of men in the history of the country.
Speaking separately, the Olugbo of Ugboland, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan and the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye further acknowledged the impact of Asiwaju Tinubu during his tenure as the Governor of Lagos State while expressing confidence in his leadership ability.
