He pledged to empower Ekiti women through creation of many small scale businesses in the State as he frowned at the present situation that has been  makingwomen to sell their bodies in exchange for monies for them to survive the harsh economic condition imposed on them by the present government.

According to Ajagungbala, “infrastructure in Ekiti State is dead. The way we are looking at things, if care is not taken, in the next 10 years, I can say Ekiti might likely collapse totally if there is nobody to rescue the State at this stage.”

He also called on the public to change their mentality, that, when “an individual decides to come out to contest, that they will be expecting them to share this and share that.  We need to take ourselves out of this because enough is enough”.

He told the public to be up to date, and know that, this time, “it is not a time for sharing of rice, sharing biscuits, collecting monies before you vote, but to ask ourselves how can we escape from this problem that the people are facing.

“Ekiti is blessed with lands. We have lands that we can use for Agriculture. It is Mechanized Agriculture I am talking about. Not the one, that we are using hoe, using cutlass, using those things no longer in vogue but modern system that people will live on and they will benefit”.
