Former Italy national team coach, Arigo Sacchi has revealed that Napoli teammates must support Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen if the team must actualise their dream of winning the Scudetto this season.
Sachi made this known on the back drop of the team’s 1-0 loss against AC Milan in Sunday’s Serie A game at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Recall that Olivier Giroud netted the only goal of the encounter in the 49th minute.
However, reacting to Napoli’s performance, Sacchi told forzaitalian that the Nigerian international has showed his hunger for goals but that his fellow teammates are not doing enough to help him.
“The solution of Napoli, in the end, has almost always been the passage, short or long, to Osimhen who has a lot of courage, is fast, technically very good, but cannot solve everything alone.
“Little thought about it, but history matters a lot. Napoli are not used to winning, therefore they do not have that culture of success that is necessary to reach the top.”
