The Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Edith Agoye has assured the fans of the Oluyole Warriors of improved performance in their subsequent Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) games.
Agoye said this after losing 2-1 to NPFL champions Akwa United in their match-day 22 fixture in Uyo during the week.
Shooting Stars remain without a win in their last three matches in the NPFL.
Agoye said in his post-match interview: “It wasn’t a bad one, it was a spirited fight most especially in the second half.
“Normally when you’re down with two goals, a lot believe it came to an end but for us, the second goal was the beginning.
“It was very good we came back by scoring, and we pushed Akwa United until the end of the game but unfortunately, we couldn’t get the equalizing goal.
“It is always important for you to get as many points as possible in your games, we’ve been unable to do that so far in the second round.
“But we continue to work very hard on the training ground and field of play during the game and definitely if we work hard enough, the situation will change.”
3SC are 12th on the log with 27 points after 22 matches, and will face Lobi Stars in their next game at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan on Sunday.
