Plans are in top gear for Engr. Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State to commission the newly built ultra-modern administrative building and modernized Dapo Falase Bar as well as the newly established Ola Ibironke VIP Lounge fitted with state of the art facilities sometime in May, 2022.

These facilities which were donated by a golfer, Barrister Abiodun Olatunji, SAN to the Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) , is regarded as the biggest infrastructure in Nigeria’s golfing circle to be donated by an individual according to the Captain of IGC, Tunji Oladosu.

The commissioning which expected to be an assemblage of crème de la crème of the society will also feature a Pro-Am golf tournament according to the committee headed by former captain of the club, Yomi Salami, as respected royal fathers and distinguished personalities in the golfing family in Nigeria will grace the event.

The event will commence on the 11th May with Caddies tournament while professionals will take to course on 12th and the amateur golfers with higher numbers of participants will play on 13th and 14th during a tournament designed by the committee to commemorate the commissioning.

It will be recalled that the newly built administrative building project was initiated by the late captain of IGC; Ola Ibironke hence the newly established VIP Lounge fitted was named after him.
