Why Workers’ Welfare Remains A Priority -Ekiti TUC Chairman

The Chairman, Trade Union Congress (TUC), Ekiti State Chapter, Comrade Sola Adigun, has reiterated the commitment of his administration to make worker’s welfare a priority in the state.

He stated this at the 5th triennial conference of the union held at Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, after his re-election for a second term in office.

The TUC chairman further stated that none of the members of the association will be retrenched, while promising to ensure that they work in a conducive environment.

The TUC leader further reiterated that none of his members would support any governorship who is not workers friendly while pledging never to betray the trust of his members.

He said, “The candidate must be able to convince us and be ready to put it in black and white how the pains of the workers will be alleviated”.

Speaking further, the Ekiti State chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde Joshua, describes the TUC chairman as a courageous leader whose interest is centered on workers welfare.

Among the newly elected officers, included Comrade Olusola Omoleye, Vice Chairman 1, Comrade Yomi Peters, Secretary, Comrade Akande Kolawole, Treasurer, Comrade Makanjuola Cornelius, P.R.O among others.
