The final burial ceremony for Pa John Oladeji Olaniyan, the father of the former Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and currently the Executive Chairman, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro has started.
Pa Olaniyan, slept in the Lord on February 15, 2022, at the age of 102.
According to the burial programme, the ceremony will be heralded by a Service of Song, today, Thursday, May 22, at St. Paul’s’ Anglican Church, Yemetu by 5.00pm.
Lying-in-State has been scheduled for Friday, May 27, at his residence, N4/239A, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, between 8.00am and 9.00am, to be followed by a Funeral Service at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Yemetu beginning from 10.00am, after which guests will be entertained at Islamic High School, Orita Basorun, Ibadan.
