House of Representative aspirant for Ekiti central federal constituency 11 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mr. Dele Philips has urged the party hierarchy to declare him as the winner of the primary election held in Aramoko recently.
He further stated that he was leading by a wide margin before the disruption of the election by thugs loyal to the former Chief of Staff, Hon. Biodun Omoleye.
He said “My people love me, they voted for me in large number, it was obvious that I have already won the election as this was evident in the ballot papers scattered on the floor, I won the election and should be declared the winner.
“This is really embarrassing, I do not understand why an agent of a losing aspirant will disrupt an election involving other aspirants”.
Others who spoke on the incident called for the arrest of the agent to the former chief of staff while calling on the party executive to look into the crisis.
According to a party chieftain, Chief Ebenezer Adebusuyi, “The agent of one of their opponents forgot decorum when he realised that the margin was already wide”.
