The Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers has charged the Nigerian military forces to be more decisive in dealing with security issues while describing killings in the country as wicked and barbaric.

The council in a statement by its Chairman, Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon, the Onisan of Isan Ekiti Kingdom regretted the unwarranted shedding of the bloods of innocent souls especially at the Owo Catholic Church over the weekend.

It further charged the country’s security agencies to be more vigilant in curtailing perpetrators and sponsors of the dangers around the country while urging Nigerians to be security conscious and work in partnership with stakeholders to rid the nation of marauding criminals.

“We are saddened by this murderous act. The Church of God is a sanctuary and haven for worshipers. We commiserate with the families of the victims, the Olowo of Owo, Ondo State government, and Nigerians on the demise of these worshippers and citizens of our Nation”.
