Ekiti Police Command Denies Arresting SDP Members

The Ekiti State police command has debunked the report of the arrest of some loyalists of the Social Democratic Party, (SDP) in Ifaki Ekiti its officers.

The police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu revealed that the information of arrest and arms recovery from the Social Democratic Party members at Ifaki Ekiti is fake and untrue.

He said, “The command is not aware of this please and did not make such arrest”.

Earlier, a report had been circulated on the social media that the police in Ekiti have discovered an outlet in Ifaki Ekiti where guns and other dangerous ammunitions were kept for the state gubernatorial election and some members of the party arrested in connection with it.

Reacting to the report, the Spokesman, the Ekiti Build Back Better’s, EBBB, Mr. Idowu Adelusi described the report as untrue while accusing the APC-led government of propagating the unfounded rumour.
