LAGSOBA Launches Free Healthcare To Support Students, Staff

The Old Students’ Association of Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, (LAGSOBA) in collaboration with a Canada based Non-Governmental organization will on Friday 24th June, 2022 launch a free health care and awareness program for the students of the school and the entire community.

The National President of LAGSOBA, Dr. Kayode Afolabi disclosed this while addressing the National Working Committee (NWC) of the association at a meeting in Ibadan recently.

Afolabi, while reeling out the programs of his Executives said that his administration intends to achieve a healthy learning among students through a healthy living and that informs the partnership with the Center for Sustainable Access to Health in Africa (CeSAHA),a Non-governmental organization under the chairmanship of an old student.

According to Afolabi, the first phase of the program commenced with the screening of students and the subsequent treatment of students, parents and staff of the school.

The second phase, which is the official launch is scheduled to coincide with the general conference/congress meeting of LAGSOBA which will come up on 24th and 25th of June, 2022 with members of the Executive Council (NEC), distinguished old boys with the Oyo State Commissioner of Health in attendance.

Highlight of the program according to its team lead and Coordinator, Adeyemo Blessing Oluwalana will involve weight and height check, eye screening, nutritional screening, blood pressure check and resultant treatment of students, parents and staff.
