The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, Mr. Agboola Sunday, has reiterated the commitment of the security outfit to be professional and apolitical during the state gubernatorial election.
He stated this during a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi while soliciting for his support to enable the Corps deliver on its mandates in the state.
Speaking, the Public Relations Officer for the command, Atanda Olabisi stated that the visit became necessary in order to establish a working and cordial relationship with the monarch.
The Commandant, Mr. Agboola while appreciating the monarch for his warm reception revealed that his support has helped the command to successfully carry out its mandates in the fight against crime in the state.
He further solicited for more support from the monarch during the state gubernatorial election assuring him of the readiness of the command to protect lives and property of the residents of the state.
He said, “I am here and ready to work out the full mandate of the Corps in Osun State and with your support, success is within reach and achievable”.
Responding, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi assured the Commandant of his full support and prayers, adding that Osun is a peaceful state tasking the security agency to maintain peace in all the communities.
