A front-line member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Barrister Akeem Aponmade has congratulated the new Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Bayo Lawal on his nomination and appointment as the state’s Deputy Governor.
Aponmade in a press release issued in Ibadan, the capital city of the state noted that given Chief Bayo Lawal’s remarkable antecedents as a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice under the administration of Late Chief Lam Adesina in the state and his outstanding performance under the current administration as Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, the pacesetter State is bound to benefit greatly from the new Deputy Governor’s wealth of experience and wisdom as he works together with His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde to serve the good people of Oyo State to the best of his ability.
Aponmade added: ‘This is truly a welcome development. Now we have a round peg indeed in a round hole: A very sound legal mind assisting a visionary Governor in his mission to bring dividends of democracy to the people of Oyo State.”
Barrister Aponmade then prayed that God will grant the new Deputy Governor all the resources that he will need to make a success of his new office.
