In the spirit of Ileya Festival celebration, a renowned architect and founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa has hosted his people, leaders and supporters in Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency.
Arc Giwa, who also gifted out sewing machines to empower some of his supporters, disclosed that the get-together is to appreciate their support towards his political movement so far.
The youthful philanthropist, while stating the significance of the get-together, said that it is imperative to appreciate the people, his leaders and supporters, as well as those who believe in the HOG Foundation project, and that have shown commitment, doggedness and steadfastness to the course over the years.
Giwa maintained that he remained committed to the course the Foundation was established, which is to empower, support and create a brighter future to the less privileged but brilliant students, widows, aged and people living with disability in the society.
He gave kudos to the leaders for their fatherly advice and appreciated his supporters for believing in him.
While speaking, Chief Olukunle Sanda, commended Arc Hassan Giwa for the genuine love he has for the people of Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency.
Chief Sanda disclosed that Hassan Giwa, through his Foundation, has paid WAEC fees of over 100 students, renovated classrooms and empowered lots of people, even without holding elective positions.
The progressive politician expressed that Arc Giwa had done what many who had the privilege to occupy the positions of chairman of local government, state honourable could not do for several years.
He assured the teeming supporters of Arc Hassan Giwa to continue to give him necessary support because he is one of the few politicians around that have the interest of the grassroots at heart.
The event, which was carnival-like, was attended by hundreds of HOG supporters across the Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency.
