Hon. Tawfiq Tayo Akinwale, the gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party in Oyo State has congratulated the incumbent Governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde for replacing Alh. Aminu Tambuwal as the Chairman of PDP Governors Forum.
In a statement he personally signed on Friday and sent to PMParrot, the Labour flag bearer stated that the feat is worthy to note as Governor Seyi Makinde is the first Governor in Oyo state to attain such height in any political party since inception.
However, Hon. Tawfiq Akinwale assured the Governor of the sacking of PDP out of office by the masses’ choice party, Labour Party in the Oyo 2023 polls.
He urged the Governor to enjoy the position while it lasts as Labour Party is coming to put an end to his reign through the support of the citizens at the polls.
Hon. Tawfiq Akinwale also revealed that Makinde ended his vacation abruptly when he saw the pace at which Labour Party is moving in the state.
The Labour Party flag bearer also stated that the OBIDATTI WALK which was over the one million target population was also part of the reason why the Governor cut short his earlier announced one-month leave.
