The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command Mr. Adebowale Williams on Saturday 22 of October 2022 commissioned the Conference Hall built for Yemetu Divisional Police Command Ibadan, by a philanthropist and traditional leader, HRH Oba Olatunde Oginni JP.

The CP before cutting the tape to commission the well-furnished building that has all the modern facilities thanked the donor for deeming it fit to sponsor such big project for the Police, urging other well-meaning Nigerian to emulate the good gesture of the traditional leader by helping the Police with their God’s given wealth so our society can be a better place to live.

“I have to be here to commission this building personally because we do not use to see this kind of gesture every time, it comes once in a while, so we have to encourage whoever is doing this for us and I’m happy to see these revered royal fathers gracing this event.

“I learnt the donor is an ex-soldier and that is why I’ am happy seeing ex-military man helping the Nigerian Police, because it has shown that the security cooperation and collaboration has been taken to the next level”, the CP noted.

Oginni JP in his speech said he is only following the Bible teaching which taught of the need to “be taking care of one’s border guards, which in today’s interpretations means the Police.

“The welfare of the Nigerian Police is paramount to me because I have many friends among them. This Yemetu Police Station is not the first place within the Police community that I have donated a property, I am always ready to contribute and assist the Police in whatever way that is convenient for me because I appreciate what they do”, said the Ibadan based business mogul.
