Family, friends and associates have concluded plans to gather at the prestigious Jogor Center, Ibadan on Friday, November 11, 2023 to remember Alhaji (Dr) Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina, governor of Oyo State between 1999 and 2023, who died 10 years ago.
Lai Olurode, a professor of sociology, is expected to deliver a lecture entitled Ten Years After Great Lam… The Political Landscape in Nigeria at the event to be graced by southwest governors, chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Nigeria and the state.
According to the organizing committee led by late former governor’s deputy, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, the event was put together to honour the memory of the late progressive leader.
“It’s been 10 years since our great leader passed on. He was a leaders’ leader. He nurtured a lot of promising people to stardom. So, tomorrow, Friday, we will be celebrating the life and times of this late enigma,” Oladokun added.
