As the scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) hits harder on the citizens of Oyo State, the State’s Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CC Adaralewa Michael has warned Petroleum marketers to avoid selling the product into kegs.

Commandant Adaralewa Michael warned all Petrol dealers and tanker drivers that have the habit of diverting the product to desist from such acts.

He made this known on Thursday at the Command’s State Headquarters of the Corps at Agodi, Ibadan while meeting with some petrol dealers in the State. He further enjoined the dealers to desist from hoarding the product as it brings unnecessary hardship to the citizens.

The State Commandant later made it known that officers and men of the Anti-Vandalization unit of the Corps will begin a routine check on all the filling stations in the State and anyone found hoarding the product will be dealt with accordingly.

“Government is doing everything possible to make life easy for its citizens and we all need to support the government by doing the right thing at all times”, said Commandant Adaralewa.

He called on the people of the State to be part of nation-building by volunteering information to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to checkmate those who are in the habit of hoarding fuel in the State.
