Oyebanji’s Government Reaches Out To Groups At Christmas

The government of Ekiti State has given out loads of rice as gifts to not less than 250 different groups across the state as token for Christmas.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant on Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso Omotoso reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring prosperity for all and well-being of the people .

Governor Oyebanji explained that the move was an expression of appreciation noting that It is the season of giving when people should show kindness to one another in gifts and affection.

Oyebanji urged the beneficiaries to kindly accept the token as the state government appreciates their support and commitment since the inception of his administration, adding that those who could not benefit this year would enjoy more next year.

Omotosho said that the people are already witnessing and attesting to the fulfillment of the Governor’s promises during electioneering campaigns such as the ongoing massive road rehabilitation in the State capital.

Earlier in her remark, coordinator of the groups and former Chairman, Ado Ekiti Local Government, Mrs. Tosin Aluko , appreciated the groups for their support during the pre and post election period stating that Biodun Oyebanji’s administration would not cease to ensure security of lives and property of the  citizens.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with newsmen like the former auditor-general of the state Mr. Adedayo Ajayi representing ekute community and the general secretary of immigration representing GRA community Mr Oladimeji Abiodun expressed joy at the gesture of the governor which they described as unprecedented.They submitted that his latest move had shown him to be a man of his words and indeed a round peg in a round hole .

Also  responding , other  beneficiaries; Mr Taiwo Olaniyi, Chief (Mrs) Adefunke Ogunrinde and Mr. Fatuase Gabriel who spoke on behalf of their groups expressed gratitude to the Governor for the gesture, while commending his administration’s proactiveness at ensuring regular payment of salary, provision of social amenities like street lights, road rehabilitation among others .

They prayed  for more successes and pledged  more support for the Biodun Oyebanji’s administration as he continues to steer the ship of Ekiti State to an enviable destination.
