The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa has congratulated and rejoiced with Christians in Oyo State and Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.
Giwa, in his congratulatory message to Christians, called on religious leaders to use the occasion of Xmas to pray for the country to have peaceful and successful elections come 2023.
According to statement he signed and made available to journalists, Giwa prayed for a hitch-free and fun-filled yuletide season.
“I congratulate our brothers and sisters, fellow Nigerians who are Christians on the occasion of 2022 Xmas celebration. I want to appeal and remind us all that we should at every point in time maintain peaceful coexistence irrespective of religion affiliation.
“It is our collaborative effort that can lift Nigeria out of its present predicament to a better position. Our religious leaders should use the occasion of Xmas to pray to God for the success of the 2023 general elections. Also, I want to implore them to desist from hate preaching that is capable of causing harm to the unity and oneness of the nation.
“Let all Nigerians irrespective of religion use every avenue to promote and maintain the peaceful coexistence and work towards the development of socio-economic of the country.
“I want to appeal that as we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, we should share love, imbibe the lessons of the season and endeavor to exhibit them in our dealings. I wish you all a Merry Xmas and happy new year in advance.”
