The 30-km Ikorodu-Sagamu Road will be completed soon, Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, has said.
He said the completion funds would be provided in the ministry’s supplementary budget. Fashola spoke when the senator representing Lagos East, Mukhail Abiru, visited him in Abuja.
The road was captured in the 2022 Supplementary Appropriation Bill, passed by the Senate. Committee on Appropriations Chairman, Barau Jibrin (Kano North), had presented the bill, which was approved, and sent to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent.
Abiru thanked Fashola for his support in making this a reality. He recognised Senator Ggenga Ashafa, his predecessor, under whose tenure the project was started.
